okay, im a 14 year old, whos learning guitar
i have an Art & Lutherie acoustic guitar
i havent taken lessons, i am learning by myself
i know A, C, D, E, F, G, Aminor, Fsharpminor, Eminor
i can play various songs like Pretty Woman and I've Just Seen a Face, and some metal songs like Chop Suey, Sweet Dreams and Seven Nation Army
now my real passion lies in rock, metal and blues and to play songs such as Boom Boom, Crossroad Blues, and other metal songs, i obviously need an electric guitar
do you think i have enough practice to move on?
and is the Squier Stratocaster a good choice for a first timer? its whats been recommended to me by friends

Yeah i'd get a squier for sure if I was you.
You could move on, I say to everybody learn the acoustic before you pick up the electric. Nobody likes to hear bad guitar when its loud. Plus, learning the basics on acoustic is good and then you pick up the electric and add in some cool bends and vibratos and stuff.
