Who are those dancers in white at Vancouver Olympic Opening Ceremony? R they professional or just volunteers?

You can't take away the dedication and the commitment these dancers on the olympic stadium floor have shown. To these volunteers, Kudos...!!!

Money is not the issue here. It is volunteers who went all the way to show their enthusiasm and put in so much of their time. Time is a valuable commodity.

That said, the fly in the ointment is this: Natives. They could be bit more organized and show some uniformity and class in dancing. Just jumping around in a haphazard fashion looked like little kids just thrown in there for good measure.

Don't get me wrong. Natives have as much contribution to our Canadian mosaic and they SHOULD be there. But show more of other cultures too... we are not just eskimos and NWT natives of various bands of Indians.

Canada in general - and Vancouver in particular - have, for centuries, enjoyed contributions by various cultures such as Chinese, Indians (from India) and others. Some participation by these groups in a world stage is long overdue. These groups of Asians are in their 4th and 5th generation Canadians.
