How can I request audio tapes of the proceeding ?
Im requesting that the audio tapes of my last court be disclosed for inspection.A serious crime of record tampering has been committed by the judge and his court stenographer and the audio tapes of the court proceedings bear the cleraest and most immediate tangible evidence to the crime.
I have obtained tapes of proceedings. I had to pay for them. Call the clerk of the court and ask. Some courts will make the copies for you and in other courts it is a private or contract service.
Ask them for the price and how long it will take.
If you are going to try to enter the tapes from the proceeding as evidence, you may have to get them transcribed by a court reporter (or someone licensed to do so). Review the transcript while listening to the tape, and compare.
Unfortunately, this can all get expensive, particularly if it was a long proceeding.
